Athirapilly Waterfalls is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin). It is located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Athirapilly Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. The Athirapally Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet. A tranquil and much needed escape from the troubles and stress of life.

Barely 5 km away is another family favourite, Vazhachal Waterfalls. Endemic species found in the surrounding dense forests make this spot famous. Researchers have found four endangered species of the Hornbill here. Ornithologists attach great significance to this location and bird watchers can come across many rare and vibrant species in these parts. However the soothing sounds take you to some of natures most relaxing places - the beautiful waterfalls of Athirapilly and Vazhachal.

Ezhattumugham

Ezhattumugham, means the seven faces of a river, also called seven islets. The smaller islets of this place filled with wild shrubs, birds and squirrels, cash crops like coconut and banana . The major attractions of this place are Erumadams (treehouses). These Erumadams made of wood, bamboo, coir etc. on top of trees .
