I had heard about this toddy shop but never had a chance to visit it, so I intentionally made it a point to visit it when I was in the vicinity.<\/p>\n<p>Mullapanthal Shop is just another toddy shop in Kerala, a very standard place to have food, with a glass of toddy if required. On arrival, I was a little hesitant to enter as the entrance was not promising. I asked the security guy about the availability of a family room, and he said we could sit anywhere with family.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5564 size-full\" title=\"Mullapanthal Food Menu\" src=\"https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Mullapanthal-6.png\" alt=\"Mullapanthal Food Menu\" width=\"640\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Mullapanthal-6.png 640w, https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Mullapanthal-6-300x211.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Our visit<\/h2>\n<p>I had come to Mullapanthal Shop with my family just because of the shop\u2019s fame. It was 2 PM in the afternoon and the entire restaurant was occupied with no space left to be seated. Families, love birds, friends and colleagues filled the entire area but we somehow managed to procure three seats.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5565 size-full\" title=\"Me and My Family\" src=\"https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/1.png\" alt=\"Me and My Family\" width=\"640\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/1.png 640w, https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/1-300x211.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The waiter at Mullapanthal Shop, dressed in typical Kerala style with a lungi, came to us smiling and took our order. We ordered puttu, fish curry (mulakettathu), kappa (tapioca) and duck curry. All the food was so tasty that it made you want to go back and savor some more. After we\u2019d tasted the food, one of the people there approached us for our feedback. On further conversation, we gathered that he was the owner of this shop and he explained about this venture he\u2019d created many years back. He asked us to order <a href=\"https:\/\/paradise-kerala.com\/blog\/karimeen-pollichathu-pearl-fish-fry-in-banana-leaves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">karimeen pollichathu<\/a> which was again delicious. You\u2019ll love it, especially if you are a foodie and non-vegetarian.
