Is Life Short?
Is Life Short? is an article on how we see life, from a different perspective.
We live in a society that teaches us life is too short to live. If that is the case, why should we worry all the day? Why should we have aim in life? Why should we work hard? Why should we earn? Why should we have a respectable life? If life is short, we should have enjoyed it at the maximum without any strings attached. Is this 60 years or 70 years too short to spend?
We have been thinking and have been imposed in our mind life is short, is something between two breaths, which is true in a hypothetical way to escape from different facets of life? When we encounter an issue or when we cannot achieve something, we use this phrase to escape from the situation.
Highly unsuccessful people always advice us they have only one life and require only 6 feet after death but they forget we are here to live and not to die, let death come at its time. These people are least bothered about their life, how they live and their responsibilities in life, they always want to escape from their responsibilities and from life.
A human being from childhood has many responsibilities to be taken care; right from schooling to higher studies. He has to obtain a job for good living, has to take care of his food, clothing, and shelter. Once married, he or she has to take care of family, children, their food, clothes, and schooling. Once children are grown up, their marriage. He has to even see children are having a good life, by the time he will have to look after his parents who would be retired by the time, their medical expenses and all along this journey he has to see his social status is taken care, social responsibilities and go on. The list is for a responsible human being and he has to earn to fulfill all these during his lifetime, and for such a person, life is too big to live.

If we can impose this to our mind, we never feel lazy; we will never be allowed to sit idle or to go behind unhealthy practices. We don’t know how many years we live, but we should know how we live and it’s in our control too. If we can write in our mind and believe strongly that we live at least to the age of 80, we feel to make every day a better day, we feel to do better things every day, we feel motivated every day as we are not running a 100m race and we need to finish the marathon successfully.
I still remember the advice given by my mathematics teacher Titus sir, – When we take advice from someone, make sure that person is a success.
